  1. Sorry Christina, I just realized I had notices…our plan…HE IS NOW MY SERVICE DOG!! WOOHOO!!! Next we are working on his becoming a therapy dog! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IN LOVE with him!!! I had a black lab, that was my heart dog, Jed. He left for the Rainbow Bridge 9 years ago this coming Thanksgiving & I was devastated for an entire year, cried every time I saw a black lab. I always thought you were only allowed one heart dog in your lifetime. Don’t get me wrong, I have 11 rescued pets, 4 dogs & 7 cats & I love each of them dearly, but sometimes one comes along that just grabs your heart & you have an extra special bond. I am lucky enough to now have a second heart dog & that is Takoda, the Pit Bull I adopted just by seeing his picture on Petfinder when they were looking for foster homes for the holiday 3 years ago. He had somehow wound up in a high kill shelter at the ripe age of 9 MONTHS old, Puppy Pleasers Rescue group in Orlando, FL, saw his potential & sprung him & posted him on PetFinder. He practically jumped out of my monitor, I didn’t read anything about him, I just filled out the application, was approved, picked him up 2 days laer & 2 days after that picked up 2 senior non litter mate kitty sisters also! LOL! My fur family now consists of 4 dogs, 1 a foster failure and 7 kitties!!! I am fond of saying, after my divorce, all of my men walk on 4 legs & are covered in fur! LOL! TYSVM for the compliments Christina!!!

  2. He’s gorgeous, Shawn! Thanks for sharing! :)

  3. My wonderful Pit Bull Mix, Takoda, Native American meaning Friend to Everyone, just graduated last night from Intermediate Obedience, he has his CGC, and is going to be taking advanced obedience starting in a couple of weeks. Becoming a TDI team & volunteering for Friends for Animals Sanctuary, a new sanctuary in Melbourne, FL is our action plan! I am so proud of my wonderful man!!!
