There are no “pros” to this type of treat, yet they have been a mainstay in the pet market for years. Hopefully with more education and posts like this, people will realize there are much better options for their dogs than rawhides. Thanks for the post!
I used to give my dogs (Pit mix and a Shepard mix) rawhides and have had to pull them out of their throats several times because of choaking. Now I get real raw beef and hog bones from our local butcher (30lb for $5) My dogs LOVE them and we haven’t had the choaking problems.
