I want to share a few thoughts about comments on this blog.
First, if you are a first-time commenter, please note that your first comment will be held for moderation. This is an attempt to control spam. Once you have an approved comment on the site, your future comments will be posted immediately.
Second, in the spirit of open-mindedness, I have always been very liberal about the comments I’ve allowed on this site, even those comments left by the “haters”. When people have made negative comments, most of the time I’ve left the comments on the site. But effective immediately, that is no longer the case.
If your comment is negative, meant to stir up trouble, or just plain nasty, it will be deleted.
If the only purpose of your comment is to say something detrimental about Pit Bulls, it will be deleted.
If your comment does not bring something worthwhile and useful to the conversation (as determined by me), it will be deleted.
No questions asked, no explanations given.
Please understand that while you are certainly entitled to your opinion, this is a pro-Pit Bull site, meant to provide positive education and enlightenment about Pit Bull-type dogs. I will not engage in debate with you, and I won’t allow my readers to do so, either.
If you don’t like Pit Bulls, I suggest that rather than spew your hatred here in a place where people come for information and encouragement, you should go find a site that shares your opinion and tell your stories there.
In other words, if you don’t have something nice to say, go someplace else. You are not welcome here.
This comment policy is in effect as of September 4, 2013.
