No matter what the season, we all know our mutts need plenty of fresh air and exercise. And we know sometimes that means walking them in less than perfect weather conditions. A few weeks ago, I mentioned that even on the coldest, snowiest Winter day, being out in the elements is a little more enjoyable if you like what you’re wearing. Rain, sleet, snow, or beautiful sunny day, who says you can’t look cute and fashionable while walking your dog, right?
Recently I saw this photo of actress Anne Hathaway walking her dog, Esmerelda, in Brooklyn on an early spring day and it occurred to me that mimicking her fun, casual style doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, if you like Anne’s look below, keep reading because I’m going to tell you how you can recreate it for yourself without breaking the bank.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Kohl’s, and I also enjoy shopping at Target. And wouldn’t you know it, you can recreate Anne’s casual celebrity look for Spring by shopping at both of these stores. And you can pick up the cute flats over on Amazon. Just take a look:
- Apt 9 Dolman Top, Black Stripe (Kohl’s)
- Merino Wool Turtleneck Sweater (Target)
- Vanilla Star Low Rise Skinny Jeans (Target)
- London Fog Trench Coat (Kohl’s)
- Steve Madden Black Flat (6PM)
- Black Surf Shade Sunglasses (Target)
By the way, did you know that in addition to Esmerelda, Anne and her husband Adam have a sweet little rescue named Kenobi? They adopted him last summer, and suffice it to say I love celebrities who adopt rather than shop! Anne’s a winner in my book, and not just for her incredible fashion sense!
Thankfully, it won’t be long now before we can break out the flips flops, shorts, and capris, but for now I’ll take this lighter look for Spring. Who’s with me? What are some of your favorite fashions this Spring?
