We’ve talked about ways your behaviors and habits can impact your dog, and the importance of physical activity for your mutt. Today we’re focusing on the walking benefits for you and your dog.
Walking provides so many benefits for both you and your mutt, and it’s a fun, free work-out that can be performed just about anywhere. Most dogs love to go for a walk – just say the word, and both of mine will immediately go and stand by the door.
This infographic gives some good information about the benefits of making walking a part of your daily work-out with your dog, as well as setting goals and tracking your progress. If you made a New Year’s Resolution to get into shape, this might be just what you need.
I’m not a big fan of working out, and you’ll probably never catch me in a gym. But walking my dogs is a fun, simple, and enjoyable activity that benefits both of us. It’s a chance to get out of the house and get some fresh air, and the exercise is healthy for all parties.
