Dog Cookies with Peanut Butter and Applesauce – a Treat Made with Love

Every ponytail deserves a tasty reward – especially if it’s not only tasty, but healthy too! Peanut butter cookies with peanut butter paste and applesauce are a great alternative to store-bought treats. There are no artificial additives, sugar or preservatives, but lots of care and delicious ingredients that your four-legged friend will love.

Why peanut and apple?

Peanut paste is a source of protein, vitamins B and E, and healthy fats that keep their coats energized and shiny. The key is to choose a paste without xylitol (this sweetener is dangerous for dogs).

Apple puree is a light and tasty ingredient, rich in fiber and vitamin C. It aids digestion and gives the liver a nice texture and flavor.

Recipe for cookies with peanut butter and applesauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oat flour (you can grind the oats in a blender);
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut paste (no sugar or xylitol);
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce;
  • 1 egg.

Optional:

  • A pinch of cinnamon (if your pet is not allergic).

How to cook:

  1. Mix ingredients. In a bowl, combine peanut paste, applesauce, and egg. Stir until smooth. Then add the oat flour and knead into a soft, non-sticky dough.
  2. Shape the cookies. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1 cm. With the help of molds cut out shapes – bones, hearts or just circles.
  3. Baking. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated 170-180°C oven for 15-20 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  4. Cooling. Allow the cookies to cool completely. Store in a cool dry place for up to 7 days or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

A little joy is a big thank you

Such a treat is perfect as a reward for good behavior or just as a tasty snack. And the best part is that you know exactly what it’s made from. Homemade care and natural ingredients are the key to healthy and wagging tails!

Let every day of your pooch’s life be delicious!
