Well shoot. I took this photo thinking that this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme was RACE. It’s not. That’s actually next week’s theme.
Lucky for me, I guess, that I happened to capture just a tiny bit of the evening sky when I snapped this picture, because guess what? SKY is actually this week’s theme. Gee whiz.
That said, there’s a little race here in our town this weekend, called the Indianapolis 500. It’s kind of a big deal, which is why our neighbor has this banner hanging over his garage and why we’ll be having a little race party on Sunday afternoon. Who wins the race isn’t important; it’s the tradition of it all that we like.
52 Snapshots of Life is a weekly photo challenge, but it isn’t just for pet bloggers! It’s for anyone who loves to take photos, and everyone is invited to participate! Simply snap a photo based on the current week’s theme (shown in the image above), and then share your photo in a blog post, on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or wherever you like. It’s so much fun seeing what everyone comes up with for each week’s theme, and even though we’re already on Week 21, it’s not too late to join us!
On Fridays I share my photo for the week here in a blog post, and I give you a chance to link up with me and the other participants. All you have to do is simply add your link below and share your photos with the world! If you’re sharing your photos on social media, please be sure to use hashtag #52Snapshots so we can find you!
Just a couple of rules: first, if you’re linking up, please be sure to link DIRECTLY TO your #52Snapshots post – don’t link to your main website URL. And second, if you are not participating in the photo challenge, please don’t link up a random blog post here. This blog hop is only for photos of this week’s theme, and unrelated links will be removed. Thanks for understanding!
Also, I want to say a big thank you to those of you who participate week in and week out! I don’t always get around to all of your posts, but I do always make a note of who links up and I really and truly appreciate it more than you know!
