Interesting Facts about Dogs

dog

  • Unique nose – like a fingerprint!

Every dog has a unique pattern on their nose, just like a person’s fingerprints. Some companies even use this to identify pets!

  • Dogs can sense their owner’s moods

They can recognize your emotions by tone of voice and facial expressions. A loyal friend will always sense if you are sad.

  • Dogs have their own dreams

Just like humans, dogs can dream when they sleep. This is especially common in puppies – they actively startle and move their paws.

  • The tail is a way of communicating

The position and movement of the tail tells you about the dog’s mood: if it wags to the right, it’s happy, to the left, it’s wary.

  • Dogs can “read” a person

They understand up to 250 words and gestures, and the most intelligent breeds – such as Border Collie – are able to memorize the names of hundreds of objects.
